Welcome back everybody!  Here is the work that we are going to do in class today in order to ease you back into this school thing that we do.  You are going to read the article "How Can Soccer Help Us Understand Physics" and answer the Google Form that is attached as well, based on your reading.  You will not have the entire class period to do it, because with about 10 minutes left, I will be bringing everyone back together in order to recap the ideas from the article and give you the big idea of Newton's First Law.  Please make sure you are working to your best ability in order to finish this because our test is a week from today!

Here are the materials for today's lesson.  Please click on the link to the Amplify activity in order to log in and start the warm up.  Open up the Powerpoint so that you have the directions and guidance you need to do the activities at your own pace.  There are also PDFs for translated directions, so open one if you need it.  Everyone needs to open the English Powerpoint so that you have access to the video that will explain the simulation to you- you can translate the captions to understand what is being described.  Your goal for today is to complete Activities 1, 3, 4, and 5, the homework activity.  The homework activity can be completed at home if you do not have enough time, but the rest needs to be done in class.

Tonight's Homework...

You should finish the worksheet from today that has our Peanut Butter and Jelly Work on it.

On the Activity section - you are writing the steps to do an activity you are good at.  Remember, make it one specific thing; don't choose playing soccer, explain how to kick a ball for a pass or a shot.  Think about what happened with the sandwich demonstration to help you

For your End/Close...  Just answer the questions that are given to you ( Why did we do these activities today?  What can you take away from them and use this year in Science?  Most importantly, did you have fun today and why?)
