About Me
My name is Nicole Flatt and I am in my 16th year as a history teacher at JHS 194. I received my bachelor's degree in History from Queens College and my master's degree in Social Studies Education from New York University. I look forward to helping the student's of our school become critical thinkers and avid lovers of history so that they may become responsible citizens of the world.
7th Grade Social Studies Unit 1 will focus on Native Americans, Early Encounters and Colonial Development. This introductory unit to American history digs into North America before European exploration and examines the factors that led to the exploration and development of the New World.
8th Grade Regents Unit 1 will be a review unit that focuses on the main ideas and themes learned in 7th grade.
